An animal's type is a property of each animal that works with items and relics. Rare animals do not have explicitly defined animal types.[1] However, from cards, we can infer that rare animals inherit the types from their common variants.

Obtaining[edit | edit source]
Zoo players usually guarantee specific animal types with items. Mainly, these are the respective type guarantee items listed above. However, the Joker item also allows the user to guarantee an animal whose type is the same as the animal released when the item was consumed. Additionally, the Wild Card item can reroll the server's stashed animal to a type of the user's choosing.
