Cursed Dice is a relic obtained normally from quests.
Effects[edit | edit source]
50% chance to find a pair when rescuing, 50% chance to find nothing.

The chance to rescue a pair is set to 50%. This overrides the increased pair chance from the Duality leader XP upgrade[3] and—in part— Twin Cherry[4].
The pair chance increases by 4% for each point of luck,[2] maxing out at 80% with 5 luck.[1] If a Backpack was used, a pair is guaranteed.[needs in-game testing]
Rescues that don't grant a pair will “fail” and grant no animal. The animal's held item will still be received.[5] Flavor text will be displayed in this format:

Using Cursed Dice on its own is not recommended. A rescue grants exactly 1 animal on average, compared to the usual 1.05 (from the base pair chance). Methods to consistently increase your luck, like Virtual Machine or a shackled curse, can offset this.
The high pair chance means Kraken's ability will trigger very often.
