Cosmetic is a cosmetic.
Obtaining
Cosmetic is given upon rescuing if the following conditions are met:
- No quest or curse is active
- No relic or cosmetic is equipped
- No leader is selected
- The player has at least 200 score[1] and at least 1 relic[2]
The terminal file /var/mail/simplicity.txt hints at Cosmetic's unlock conditions, saying that “you might find something nice” by “rescuing with nothing at all”.
Obtaining Cosmetic unlocks the Barebones profile theme.

Interaction with:
- curse of blindness (both regular and weakened)
- "Show Animal Totals" setting
When rescuing an animal, all words are removed from the animal and item lines, except for the name of the animal and item. For example:[3]
